Lewes manager Kevin Keehan hopes to reveal a new striking partnership in tomorrow’s 2nd round FA Trophy match against Havant & Waterlooville at the Dripping Pan.

He has secured the services of Barnet duo Kieron St Aimee and Elliot Charles on a month’s loan, and is expecting both to feature in an area that Lewes have found difficult this season.

Keehan said: “I am delighted they have agreed to sign because they are both good players.

“Elliot is a real leader of the line. Kieron is a big strong lad who can play up front or in midfield.”

Both 19, striker Charles offers a physical presence and ability in the air, and has played three times as substitute this season for the Bees.

St Aimee is more versatile and can play as a winger, midfielder or striker. He started out with QPR before moving to Barnet for whom he has made 13 appearances including four this season. He has also had loan spells with Grays and Stevenage this term.

Former loanee Joe Tabiri, who made his Rooks debut in November at Wrexham, has returned to Barnet after Keehan opted not to extend his loan period for a third month.

Josh Klein-Davies who joined the Rooks on New Year’s Day is set to miss out on tomorrow’s clash with a one match ban following his dismissal against Stevenage last Saturday, whilst David Wheeler will also be absent as he’s involved with the final stage of the England Schools Under 18 trials.

Although Michael Standing has been suffering from food poisoning this week, Keehan expects him to return along with Danny Cullip and Chamal Fenelon to face the Blue South side who beat Lewes in their last pre-season friendly in August.
