No pre-Christmas Cheer for Lewes
20/12/08
Lewes went down 2-0 this afternoon at the Dripping Pan at the hands of fellow strugglers Woking.
In a dour game, neither team shone and a terrible defensive mix-up between Lewes captain Danny Cullip and keeper Rikki Banks allowed Wilfried Domoraud to open the scoring on the stroke of half-time.
The match was littered by untidy passages of play from both sides on a difficult pitch, but despite pressing for an equalizer without seriously threatening the visitor's goal, Lewes conceded a second from Domoraud midway through the half after squeezing past Chris Breach down the right. Report to follow.
