This afternoon's match against Kettering has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Despite two inspections this morning and a further one at lunchtime, the referee feared that once the sun was off the pitch, it was likely to refreeze and prove dangerous. With a proportion of the pitch getting little sun anyway, the decision was reluctantly taken at 13.10.

Lewes FC would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this decision may have caused, and in particular to the players, officials and supporters of Kettering. This is the third time that a match between the two clubs has been postponed this season.

The next match at the Dripping Pan is the East Sussex derby against Eastbourne Borough on New Year's Day, kick off 3pm.
