Hinshelwood returns to the Albion
16/12/08
On-loan defender Adam Hinshelwood has been recalled by Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 25 year old made his Lewes debut away at Wrexham in the Blue Square Premier and played four times for the Rooks during his loan spell, which included a few weeks absence due to a re-occurence of a knee injury.
Lewes manager Kevin Keehan was upbeat about losing Hinshelwood, who had formed a good partnership with his ex-Albion team mate Danny Cullip.
Keehan said "It's a shame to lose Adam, particularly as we've been looking quite strong defensively in recent weeks. However, I'd like to thank him for his committment during his time with us at Lewes, and I wish him well back at Withdean."
Brighton manager Micky Adams, who allowed Hinshelwood to join Lewes in order for the defender to regain match fitness after a lengthy injury said "I want my players to show as much character as Adam has over the last three and a half years."
Hinshelwood will travel with Brighton to Shrewsbury tonight in the Johnstone Paint Trophy, where he is expected to have a seat on the bench.
