Lewes go into tomorrow night's match against Torquay United having narrowly lost to Burton Albion on Saturday.

However Manager Kevin Keehan will be hoping that the Rooks show the same battling spirit against the second place side as they did on Saturday against the league leaders.

United have more than enough incentive to add to Lewes' painful first season in the Blue Square Premier. Not only would a win take them top, they could also set a new club record of 15 matches without defeat, as well as equalling a current one of eight successive wins.

Sam Gargan is a major doubt for Lewes having suffered an ankle injury on Saturday, and his absence will be a blow to the Rooks' chances of causing a huge upset at Plainmoor.

Gargan's Brighton team mate Adam Hinshelwood will definately be missing although Keehan is hopeful he may be fit for Saturdays' important visit of Grays Athletic.

One player who will be out for a few months is the unfortunate Ollie Rowland who suffered a painful knee injury against Burton. A further scan on Tuesday will reveal the extent of the injury but Keehan will have to plan into the New Year without the midfielder.

Joe Tabiri and Stefan Cox are both free of suspension and are likely to travel to Devon, along with David Wheeler who impressed again on Sunday in England Schools trials, scoring for the South East before suffering a dead leg.
