Shabazz Baidoo joins The Rooks

Lewes have signed former Queens Park Rangers striker Shabazz Baidoo in time for Saturday's fixture at home to Barrow.

Baidoo played in the final pre-season friendly against Havant and Waterlooville but budget constraints meant he was not offered terms.

Lewes manager Kevin Keehan has returned to the 21-year-old who scored three goals in 28 League appearances for QPR before being released last January.

Baidoo, a free agent who was released by Dagenham and Redbridge earlier in the year, joins The Rooks on a month-by-month basis.

Keehan said,"He's quick and tenacious and has played at Championship level.

"He is not frightened to work and put people under pressure, so he will bring a lot to the team."
