Lewes set to be coached by former Brighton favourite.

Lewes manager Kevin Keehan has confirmed that former Brighton defender Ian Chapman has been offered the opportunity to take some coaching sessions while he awaits for another job to come up.

Chapman left his post as Reserve Team manager with the Albion in May after Dean Wilkins was replaced as first team manager.

Wilkins and Chapman watched Lewes’s game at Woking on Tuesday, and Chapman is happy to help Keehan out on a casual basis.

Keehan said: “I had a brief chat with Chappers and I have said if he was interested in coming to do a few sessions he would be very welcome."

“I have spoken to a few other people like Alan Cork, before he went to Bolton, and said if he wanted to keep his hand in by doing a session that would be good. I would say to them what I want from a session, let them get on with it and watch.”
