The Lewes FC Community & Education Scheme has been working within Lewes and the surrounding areas to promote community participation using the power of Sport and Education as the vehicle of delivery to enable members of the community to achieve their personal goals. The Scheme has aimed to establish and maintain links for everyone within the community regardless of age, gender or ability.

Our objective is to deliver accessible and inclusive programmes, promoting educational and social opportunities via professional and consistent programmes using football and sport as a positive vehicle to support various mainstream agendas.

Working towards this objective has enabled positive partnerships to develop with local schools and colleges, youth organisations, local and county councils and organisations including Sussex Police.

Through the development of these positive partnerships we have been able to develop and deliver tailored programmes based upon the needs of the partner and more importantly based upon the needs of the participants. This flexible approach has enabled the Community & Education Scheme to reach a wide and varied audience with positive results being achieved.
