At present, around a hundred people and local businesses own £1000 shares in the club. But this summer Lewes FC goes ‘wide’ and will start selling shares for £30. We want to encourage as many people as possible in Lewes and surrounding areas to invest a little bit in their local club.

The effects of this ‘community takeover’ have been dramatic already; attendances this season have averaged at just under 700 people a match. This is an increase of more than 75% on last season’s gate and puts us 7th in the attendance league for Blue Square Bet South. This is a great testament to our loyal supporters and the people of the town. For our 125th Anniversary game in September we had 1,326 people at our home ground, The Dripping Pan.

So we know that huge support is genuinely out there and with your help we aim to raise the gate to an average 1,000 per game next season.

We want our home games to be the place where the town meets, has fun and makes new friends. Already our matches represent the largest gathering of Lewes people in one place on a regular basis, thus creating a perfectly contained audience to advertise, leaflet and market to. And it’s a family audience; our hugely popular ‘Kids Go Free’ policy means that every home game is attended by around a hundred kids with their parents.

In the past, Lewes FC has approached the local business community with a series of options for sponsorship: perimeter boards, programme ads, match day sponsorship etc, all sold individually.

This year we’ve had a radical re-think and have decided to offer an all-in season long package which we feel represents incredible value for money and – crucially – provides our sponsors with season long opportunities to be involved with the club and get new customers.

4 Season Tickets

We want you to bring your colleagues, workmates, friends, family and clients to the game. We want to encourage businesses to do business at the ground. What better way to seal the deal than over a pint of Harvey’s at the match? By offering sponsors so many season tickets we hope you and yours will be regulars.

Match Day Hospitality

When you come to The Dripping Pan – to any home game - feel free to pop into hospitality for tea, cake and sandwiches. Before, during and after the match, all our sponsors will receive a warm welcome throughout the season.

Advertising

Your company name/logo will appear on a 10 foot perimeter board, a quarter page programme ad and onour website (with a link to yours) throughout the season.The club will also be taking out regular ads in the Sussex Express and Viva Lewes thanking our generous sponsors.

Marketing

You’ve got a special offer you want to promote? No problem. Your team is welcome to distribute leaflets at any game or even do a product demonstration if that works for you. And if you need an instant hit then our Lewes FC digital team will get your promotion out there to our membership and beyond. Getting your company connected into The Mighty Rooks is a surefire way of reaching more people.

Facilities

Fancy playing on the pitch? At a discounted rate? Under floodlights, with a ref and linesmen? We’ll set it up for you. Need somewhere to host a drinks do? The Rook Inn is yours for hire. Need to host a birthday party for the kids? Football-themed perhaps?No No problem, our award winning Community Scheme can lay that on at a special rate.

Match Day Sponsorship

We will allocate you one home match day that is yours (possibly shared with another sponsor). You get to choose Man of the Match, present the bottle of champagne on the pitch and provide a mascot or two if you want. Your company name will appear on our fabulous match day poster and your company will be name checked throughout the game by our announcer.

The Business Supporters Package includes your company’s name going in to the hat for naming rights to The Rookery Stand, the club’s main seated stand running the length of the pitch.

On Monday August 1st at a special Sponsors drinks event at The Dripping Pan one lucky name will be drawn from the hat. This company (or individual) will be the main Stand Sponsor for the 2011-12 season. The company’s name and logo will be all over the stand and the Sussex Express will be present to take your photo. Thereafter, for the whole season, it will be referred to as The ‘Your Company Name’ Stand. Good, eh?
