The 7th Lewes FC Beer Festival 2017, Friday, March 31 from 5pm
The 7th Lewes FC Beer Festival will be held at the Rook Inn, Lewes Football Club on Friday, March 31 from 5pm.
The festival is a ‘Champions League of Ale,’ and every one of the 20 + beers and ciders is a former or current champion ale or an award winner from around the region or around the UK.
There’ll be a voting system set up on the night, and beer fans will be able to choose their ‘Champion of Champion’. Once again our friends at CIRCA, will be providing some amazing pub grub to compliment the evening.
It is hoped that Harvey’s Head Brewer Miles Jenner will open the event, and release an exclusive cask for the festival.
Tickets are £5 each (£6 on the night), which includes tasting notes, and the first 100 people who purchase or reserve their ticket, will receive a free commemorative Lewes FC pint glass. Tickets will be available at the following places: In Lewes, The Gardeners Arms and Hartley’s Wines, in the offices of Lewes FC during the week and at the Club Shop in the stadium on Matchdays, and in the Old Boot pub in Seaford. All beer in the festival will be priced at £3.30.
Chief Executive of Lewes FC Kevin Miller said, “The Lewes FC Beer Festival is now recognised as one of the most eclectic and popular events in the region, and this year Johnny [Marshall] and I have created what could be the best selection of ales ever, with some genuine classics as well as
Some of the Festival’s award winners from previous years.” He added, “ I suspect that this years event will sell out fast, so I urge fans, owners and beer aficionados to purchase their ticket or reserve them quickly!”
Details of the champion ales on offer will be announced over the next week.
This festival will continue from 12:00pm the following day at the Rooks home game against Faversham Town, with the Live BT Sport FA Premier League game between Southampton & Bournemouth kicking off at 5:30pm.
